Ceramics & Flower Workshop
Join us this Spring for a unique series of workshops involving clay-work and flowers. Held in our cosy studio on Main Street, students are invited to craft several pieces of ceramic ware and ultimately, put those pieces to use with a flower design workshop at the end.
At the end of the series, students will leave with 4 physical pieces (2 “fresh floral” print dishes, 1 small vase and 1 kenzen vase), as well as, flowers to decorate 3 of the flower vessels they've created. Glaze colour options will be provided at the end of the workshop.
This workshop will be taught by our in-house ceramicist, Wei Cheng. Wei is a local artist who is a graduate of Emily Carr and has studied under the tutelage of a renowned potter in rural China. She is currently a resident of the Shadbolt Centre in Burnaby and her work has made its way in multiple cities across the world. She is best known for her Chinese teaware creations.
